Selected Prayer Websites, and E-books on Prayer:
The Lord has given me a couple of articles that I am going to call, "Prayer Warriors, Prophets, and Faith For An Eternal Realm". These articles addresses the subject of prayer warriors who are called to realms of Eternal Faith. These ones will actually be commissioned for service in the armies of the heavenly redeemed, and therefore, they have a prayer life very different from someone whose efforts in prayer are constrained to life on planet earth as we know it. These articles will precede a series of articles I will be doing on the subject of faith over the next few weeks.
Though for sake of contrast, the first group of prayer warriors I address through these articles are noted for their interest far more in a present image and immediate answers than for God's long term eternal plans to prepare them to be part of a remnant who will sit with Christ in His throne through all eternity, their prayers are to be valued for what they accomplish on the temporal level.
Though there is some disappointment in their lack of sensitivity to eternal things, in no way do I wish to neglect to appreciate a present anointing many of these ones are operating in. If there seems to be any sense of rebuke in the first article, it is because the Lord is wishing to call some of these ones up to a higher place, and my prayer is that we all have "ears to hear".
(I also wish to note that there are some personal testimonies in these articles of some who have been close to me such as my own grandmother, and the woman of God who mentored her into the life of prayer. I have found that at times people are offended by the personal testimonies, as if they are being exalted over the testimonies of others. They are not. They are simply what I can relate to firsthand, but I do know all those who serve the Lord do have their own stories and testimonies that are to be just as highly valued. In no way do I mean to minimize that which have others have learned about prayer through their own testimonies and experiences. We are all on the same side, and hopefully, serving the same God, and I am always greatly blessed when people write to me, and share their own stories with me!!)
Now, to share with you just a bit of the dealings of the Lord that led up to these articles:
I have recently been experiencing a "trial of my faith." I am rejoicing in this because the Bible tells us when our faith is tried, it should be considered as more precious than gold.
6 ¶Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:6,7
I had presented to me an opportunity that would have allayed my immediate fears, and been a bit of a respite from the tension of my situation. But then I realized that it was a "short -term fix", and what I needed was a "long-term solution". The Lord spoke to me that I needed to deal with the root issue of a lack of faith. He spoke to me that I needed a greater impartation of faith, and in dealing with the problem on this level, rather than to just address a surface issue, I'd have faith to draw from whenever the need for greater faith would arise.
So, in obedience to the Spirit, I took a little trip to a place where there is a history of great faith in operation. On my 4 hour drive to the location, I did my best to prepare my spirit for whatever I'd receive from the Lord. I arrived at my destination late on Friday evening, and was shown to a beautiful guest room. The grounds, buildings and furnishings of this place are all exceptionally lovely, and it is all "debt free", and a place where the blessings of God flow. I was alone in the administration building for Friday night, and most of Saturday except for some that had to come and go as part of their routine responsibilities in being part of church/Bible College campus ministry.
As I settled in, and began to seek the Lord both in my room, and walking the hallway outside of my room (I'm a prayer "pacer") , and spending time in the Word in a little sitting room across the hall, there was one word from the Lord, and it was truly the word of the Lord, and began the process of encouraging me in my faith to the great dismay of any "fear, doubt, and unbelief" lurking within my soul. This was the word: "All that you see with your eyes, is because someone prayed." Knowing the history of this particular ministry, I knew they were people of GREAT prayer.
I also realized I needed to much consider the subject of prayer, and the articles I will be sending out over the next few days come out of that time of waiting on the Lord.
Let me encourage you that the articles do get more positive as I go along. I feel the first articles are an important foundation to the final article, which deals very primarily with what the Lord deposited into my spirit about faith. The following "points of review" introduce you to the content of the following articles. The next two articles will follow shortly, and then the final article will appear on the weekend.
A review of the Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior, Image is Everything.
1. Praying is to be able to successfully operate in gifts for the ministry advancement.
2. Praying is rarely about coming into relationship with the Lord.
3. Praying is rarely about coming to understanding of personal shortcomings and things in need of correction, though much will be discerned in the lives of others, and will set others in awe of the gift of knowledge in operation.
4. This prayer warrior's name recognition is much more important than the Name of Jesus. (They love to refer to themselves in the "third person", as if they are talking about someone else, just to make sure their name gets "out there".)
5. These prayer warriors have gifts that are outstanding because ALL attention is on the gift, and never on character. Their gifts will never betray them.
6. Praying is always about gifts and ministry, and never about character and personal sacrifice, except for what others should sacrifice to service the Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior's ministry.
7. Do not automatically dismiss these "prayer warriors" as false prophets, and be careful about making such a judgment. Rather pray for conviction to come, and their eyes to be open.
Review of the Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior: JESUS is everything:
1. The prayer life of this one will never escape the "candle of the Lord" that searches all the inward parts of the belly.
2. The prayer life of this one always goes by way of the Cross.
3. The prayer life of this one takes a life-time to get the answers because this one is committed to process to become more like Jesus.
4. The prayer life of this one has eternity's values in view, and is preparation for eternal ministry in the heavenly realms , and not just a present dispensation.
5. The prayer life of this one recognizes the advantages and value of praying in secret, and having the label of "intercessor" is not important to this one. The Lord getting HIS desired results is what is important.
6. The prayer life of this one is usually conceived in personal sufferings, but matures into a true and selfless expression of the burden of the Lord for others, and the work of the ministry.
7. The prayer life of this one knows how to come into a place of quietness to hear the Lord should He wish to address personal issues apart from the militant prayer mandate.
I trust you will read and consider what the Spirit is saying through these articles, as you have the time to do so.
