Prayer Warriors, Prophets and Faith, Part Two
Jesus is Everything!
In the first article, I shared with you about the Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior : Image is Everything.

Here is the second group, and the one you wish to be in, if you are going to hear from the Lord's mouth in that day when He judges both the quick and the dead:

...Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord". Matthew 25:21

For the Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior, JESUS is everything!!

This Prayer Warrior may perceive a need, and go to prayer, but they often get off track because as they are praying about a certain issue, they come face to face with something within their own nature that will cause them to turn aside.  That "something " is the candle of the Lord:

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27

As much as the burden is real, the unbecoming issue in the flesh is relentless in it's appearing, and while they want to see God change a circumstance or meet a pressing need, it always seems prayer time never fails to take them by the way of the cross. They live with the perception that if they are going to see true answers to prayer, there is going to be a need for a death to the self-life.

When others get to collect goods and substance to leave to their children, they come face to face with this final outcome to their prayer life. They will never be truly satisfied until they come forth into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ:

14 From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose
belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalm 17:14, 15
.

These prayer warriors are the "Eagle Saints". If you are an "Eagle Saint", it means you always are "drawn to the carcase".
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Matthew 24:28.

In other words, where there has been a true death to the self life, the eagles are going to recognize it, and come together. Those of like spirit will gravitate toward one another, and if you are this type of prayer warrior, you will be found of others who are of the same spirit. You may be lonely now, but you can be assured, there will be a carcase that will be as a gathering place.

Beloved, if you are one of these "eagle saints", you just instinctively know by the Spirit when life is coming forth NOT based on the ability to produce or mimic a certain sound, or hype up a meeting, or prime a good old fashioned Pentecostal pump.  Your spirit bears witness with something you fully understand.......what it means to go the way of the Cross, and out of death always comes TRUE LIFE.

The eagle saint's prayers come up before God as a sweet smelling savour. You would think the stench off the seething carcase of burnt flesh would be putrifying. But because the prayers of these saints are incense before the throne of God, that burning smell of flesh is masked and all God smells is the incense of the saints.

7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Leviticus 4:7

Revelation 8:1 ¶And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. Rev. 8:1-4.

I believe these "prayers of the saints" spoken of in the book are those times of consecration and surrender and willingness to be as the "burnt offering" upon the altar, for the burnt offering, which represents complete sacrifice was accompanied by incense.

The Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior, "Image is Everything" are extremely skillful at making militant noises and projecting energy into the atmosphere through words and sounds and they will definitely achieve results. Several years ago, I went to a prayer meeting of this type. The Instructor in prayer wanted things to stay revved up to a fevered pitch. You couldn't pray loud enough, pray fast enough, or pace the floor fast enough to suit the leader. This group was expected by their "Chief Intercessor" to scream in tongues for hours without losing any momentum. Willing to learn something new, I tried to keep up, but it was quite a struggle. During that prayer time, if the Spirit came to speak in a soft voice into the ear of someone who needed a word of God about an issue in their life that might be keeping them from the kingdom, it never would have happened.

The very sad thing is that this was a group that got great results as far as money and numbers and some miraculous events. But it fell apart because the leader fell into a snare of the devil. I would love to be able to report a restoration, but I just don't know the facts to be able to do that. My hope is that the experience, and the humbling switched him from being a Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior to being an Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to know that now instead of focusing on a style of prayer or a method of prayer, the focus is on Jesus, who answers prayer!! Jesus answers ALL prayer, but oh to be that one who returns to give Him thanks with a willingness to enter into relationship with Him, even as that one lone leper returned to acknowledge the Lord when there were 9 others who also received a healing, but chose not to return. Luke 17:11-17.

Because the Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior is far more sensitive to the convictions of the Spirit, their prayer life is a way of life that takes a literal life time to see things accomplished. What a "Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior" can accomplish in two weeks simply because they stay so focused on hounding heaven until they get what they are demanding, the ""Eternal RealmPrayer Warrior" can end up taking two years, or maybe even twenty years!! I know one man of God who has literally been before the throne of God a life-time waiting on God in prayer regarding vision and promise the Lord has given to him. Seems like by now he should have had a 'breakthrough". Why hasn't he?? Maybe because on his way to the results to prayer, this man of God is in the process of having eternity's values established in his life because he is not only called to accomplish things in THIS world, but in the one to come, too!!

2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 ¶And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 2 Peter 1: 2-7

Why does it take so long? Because it's not just about the results. It's about a preparation for eternity. Prayer will engage the whole being, and convictions about prayer never seem to escape this type of prayer warrior. This one is far more often forced to pray "in secret", and doesn't have the advantage of calling a vast contingency of prayer warriors to his/her side. This one often cannot build a successful "intercessor's network" because they are so commissioned to the secret place that to do so would be counter-productive to the burden of the Lord upon this prayer warrior's soul. I am not saying it's WRONG to call an "army of intercessors". In fact, if you have an 'army of intercessor's " praying with you, I bless you in the Name of the Lord!! But in some ways, it defies the logic of true intercessory prayer. It's like having your wife in the delivery room at a large city hospital with her doctor, and the attending nurse, and then calling all the visitors, all the other medical personnel, all the housekeeping staff into the labor and delivery room to be part of the experience!! True intercessory prayer takes place in private and intimate settings. It's not a "spectator's sport", but it's been made to seem that way.

My grandmother who was a missionary for 23 years in Israel, and 17 years prior to that in Tunisia, North Africa had one of the most unusual lives of prayer. Often, people would come to her wanting to write a book about her life, or promote her ministry. She would never allow it. She felt this type of exposure would do great damage to the very thing the Spirit had commissioned her to accomplish. Because of a secret life of prayer, literally praying every night from 9 p.m. until 2:oo a.m. walking the floors and binding the powers of darkness, she had liberties to do things in four different churches she started in Israel, mostly among the Arabs. Where men of God could not "make it" in the work of the ministry there in Israel , my grandmother had churches with great big Arab businessmen getting saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, and because no woman was allowed to pastor a church, she simply ran the meeting from the back of the church as these humble men submitted to her leadership!

Now, could she have accomplished these things if she was a "public intercessor"?? No way!! True prayer that had an ear to hear what the Spirit was saying gave her the sense to realize she needed to keep it quiet more than she needed to be recognized for her prayer life. Now, after her death, the Lord is allowing the honor to come that she never received in her life time.

The Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior has usually been forged into a life of prayer through personal trials and sufferings whereby their only recourse was to pray. There was simply no other answer for them. God laid a deep foundation of prayer within their lives by taking them through some things that taught them to pray. After being in this "school of prayer" whereby they learned faith and trusting in God on a deeper level, they were able to move beyond their own "life and death" issues to being useful to God to pray through on matters of the burden for souls, the establishing of ministries, the calling forth of giftings and anointings, and so on. Because the Lord became very close to these ones in a deep place of personal prayer, they never cease to appreciate their foundations, and to misuse prayer for selfish ambition and gain would be unthinkable. The fear of God is so interwoven into the fabric of their being, it would not occur to them to pray after the lusts of the flesh.

In the late 40's, my grandmother came from California to Brooklyn, NY, and through God's intervention, landed at the doorstep of Mary Crandall. She had never met the woman, but God sovereignly led her to her home through the help of a taxi driver. Mary Crandall took my grandmother in, and informed her that what they do in her home is "pray". My grandmother expected some little token prayer meetings.

Instead what happened was that she was informed that they are up by 7:00 a.m., beds got made, and then it was breakfast time. After breakfast, then it was prayer time. Mary Crandall pulled the "prayer cushions" out from underneath the couch, and went to prayer. And prayer didn't last for a half hour, or an hour, it lasted for 8 hours. Out of this woman's prayer life came forth a thriving church in New York City, two Bible College Presidents with close to 100 hundred of their own children and grandchildren all serving the Lord, and many in some capacity of the work of the ministry. Mary Crandall went to China by the word of the Lord at 80 years old when she originally received a prophetic word about China in her early twenties!! (Nowadays someone gets a prophecy and if it doesn't come to pass in two weeks, they are whining they got a word from a "false prophet.") My grandmother's flourishing ministry of many years on the mission field, never once being backed by any major missions board, but having God's people take care of her so that she was able to cross the waters 17 times to come back to the states to minister here from time to time was birthed through the prayer life she learned at the feet of Mary Crandall.

A brother in the Lord I regard as my own "father in the faith", asked Mary Crandall the question, "Where did you learn to pray that way"? She told him this story:

She had her sixth child. In those days, there was no welfare. Her husband left her, and she had no food for her children. Everyday, she went out to a big rock behind her house, and cried out to God to bring the provision to meet the needs of her family. The husband left when the new baby arrived. She was so humble before the Lord, she considered it a great blessing when someone rang the doorbell and she went to find that one lone new diaper had been left on the doorstep for the new baby.

Many can have testimonies about some hard times that taught them to pray. We can all cry out to God in times of trouble. But the Psalmist David talks about the "Valley of Baca" in the 84th Psalm. That is a place of weeping. I'm so blessed when I read the margin of my Bible about this particular scripture. The King James version says this:

5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. Psalm 84:5-7.

But in the margin, it says that in the RV it reads, "in whose heart are the highways to Zion".

Beloved, the Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior has the "highway to Zion" in his heart!! This one knows how to make that valley of weeping a well, and knows how to pray the rain of God down to fill the surrounding pools. I believe the heart of my grandmother and others she influenced was as a "surrounding pool". And then that one goes from "strength to strength".

Mary Crandall started her prayer life by praying out of the depths for her personal needs. But she went from "strength to strength" as she learned to prevail in prayer to see the Lord birth great ministries, and was even
instrumental in the early beginnings of some recognized Pentecostal movements. Remember how when talking about the "Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior", there is little generational fruit of powerful ministry following in their footsteps because they've built on their own names rather than the Name of Jesus? Well, this woman of God so lifted up the Name of Jesus, and so gave glory and honor to Him, I am seeing her grandchildren, and even her GREAT grandchildren moving in powerful anointings, and still establishing the work of the ministry on His Name, and not their own.

Beloved friend, when you pass through the valley of Baca, recognize it's power to give you a prayer life that will take you from the realms of selfish prayer for personal needs into the realm of selfless prayer where your heart is full of the "highways to Zion". What is the highway to Zion? It's a highway of holiness that leads straight to Jesus!! He is the kings that is enthroned on the holy hills of Zion!! Zion may physically be in a land across the waters called Israel, but more than that , it's in the hearts of His people who are giving the throne rights to Him!!

For that one who is the "Temporal Realm Prayer Warrior, Image is Everything", the ends will always justify the means. Doesn't matter what they do, or who they hurt on the way to recognition or answers they wish to achieve. For the "Eternal Realm Prayer Warrior, JESUS is everything", the "means" are every bit as important as the "ends". Theirs is a life-time commitment to a pathway that shines "brighter and brighter" unto the perfect day. It's not just about "getting there" quickly, but it's about relationship with Jesus, every step of the way, and as He is truly the bright and morning star, He is continually making Himself more real to these ones~!!

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18.
