Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.    Isaiah 9:7

A Herald of His Kingdom Article
2 Kings 9:16 ¶So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.
2 Kings 9:17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?
2 Kings 9:18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.
2 Kings 9:19 Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
2 Kings 9:20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.
2 Kings 9:21 And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.
2 Kings 9:22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

On Tuesday of this very same week, the United States of America conducted what will probably go down in our nation's text books as a historical election. It's been decades since there was such a loudly proclaimed voice of repudiation through the citizens against policies in the making, as well as the politicians foisting them upon our society, and fostering them through governmental systems to cause those things to become a way of life. The people have spoken!! No more!!!

I have been greatly rejoicing, even cherishing the election outcome of 2010. Then in my spirit, early the other morning, I heard these words: WHAT PEACE, SO LONG AS THE WHOREDOMS OF THY MOTHER JEZEBEL AND HER WITCHCRAFTS ARE SO MANY?

I've listened for the past few days to the pundits, journalists and commentators give their summations on reasons the election went as it did, as well as their opinions of the losing party, and the President's reading and reaction to all of it.

In none of it have I heard that the election swung toward favoring tea party candidates or Republicans based on their more moral values. If that tells us anything, I would say it's time to step back and consider another message of this election.

People did not vote for righteousness. They didn't vote against the legalization of sin. They didn't vote for moral principles to be restored. They voted what was personally best for their economic situation, and I confess I voted that way, too because it was the table set before me.

There was nothing on the ballot that put before me choices regarding the issues of legalized sin and immorality in our country. No mention of the rampant rush toward the entrenchment of homosexuality as an acceptable, and even some cases, preferred, lifestyle for Americans. No mention of the scourge of abortion, taking millions of innocent lives with many more to come. No candidate had to showcase his repulsion of such things in order to win an election delivered by a godly electorate because it was not necessary to put those things out there for the greed of men and women in our society is turning to be a greater force than than the conscience of men and women in our society.

The election we just had manifested the contents of our hearts. Common sense may have prevailed. Through various media, many may have been able to get better understanding of just how our system works when it comes to things monetary. I know I have learned a whole lot, and if the same election were held tomorrow, I'm thankful for what I learned, and would vote the same way presented with the same issues.

But what do I mean when I say it "manifested the content of our hearts"? No matter how you get to your destination, the destination is the same. When you go on Mapquest to get directions, you can choose whether to take the "highway" or the "scenic route". You can choose whether to take toll roads, or avoid the toll roads.

The bottom line is that everyone is interested in protecting their own interests, or the feared loss of their own interests, which is something very much "looming on the horizon" if in spite of the voice of the people, the train stays on the track it's currently on.

My greatest hope would be that some of the minorities in the liberal ranks have finally been educated in the understanding that they need to remain the nation's victims in order for certain ones to stay in power; for if they were ever successful and self-sufficient, they would no longer be part of the profile necessary for an ever-increasing bent in our "collective thinking" toward a socialistic society.

Thank God, this election did send a clear message that there is NO "collective thinking" along such lines, and people want to stay the course, and move the country back toward conservative sensibility.

But make no mistake: Everyone wants to protect their money whether they work hard for it, or if they get a check in the mail bespeaking the liberality and generosity of our government, or if they fall somewhere in between.

Everyone went to the polls because our country is in economic trouble, and regardless of your belief system about these things, you showed up to vote against candidates you felt were threatening your money, and the welfare of your children's money, and your grandchildren's money.

It's all about the money. Even issues that were NOT about the money, when you think about it...they boiled down to being about the money! Some good candidates even lost because of how they mismanaged their own finances in the past. Money, money, money.

If everyone in the country was monetarily secure, and knew their lives would stay that way even for the next decade, would they have gotten out to the polls to vote? Would any other issue have resulted in such a profound showing at the polls?

So now, back to our passage of scripture. We see a "mad prophet", suddenly anointed by Elisha to be king, riding furiously through the domain gathering those who would defect to his own band of followers. Everyone has the same question. Are you coming in peace? Is it peace?

Now, in order to understand why the present king, Joram, would even think Jehu's messenger might be coming "in peace", one needs to understand a bit of the history. Joram, king of Israel was recovering from battle wounds received in a conflict with Aram. And Ahaziah who was the king of Judah and his ally in this war against Aram came to visit him while he was in Jezreel convalescing. In this matter of conflict with Aram, the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah were united.

On top of that, the Bible says they were related by both marriage and sin. During that portion of the history of Israel and Judah, there were relational ties between the families of Ahab and Jehosephat, and such affinity that they even named their children with similar names. So, perhaps they thought that Jehu was finally broken down in his spirit, and ready to join in the compromising attitudes of his brother and near relative, both present kings of Israel and Judah. Perhaps he was riding furiously like a mad man to let them know he was now 'one of them'. He was going to join the club! They got their answer! Not a shred of hope for that outcome!

It seems that if we can reference the kingdoms of Judah and Israel to understand American politics, history, and society there is a major lesson to be learned here. America does not have "kings", so when we say "kings" we are speaking of those in power in governmental authority.

There are evil kings. They represent evil people who give no mind to the ways and laws of God, in authority. They could care less about God, or His Holy Word, or being led by His Spirit.

There are kings who, despite the best heritage, pick up the ways of wicked kings.
These are the people who at one time cared about a righteous agenda manifesting forth the fear of God in their lives, but they've found that to be an inconvenient way of looking at life, and a very inconvenient way to win elections, and so they more and more are choosing the "political correctness" which marries their minds to the mind of Ahab, and his wicked ways.

And then there is a righteous remnant. There is Jehu. For the sake of this article, I'll constrain the discussion about the "righteous remnant" to those in authority who stay true to the faith, and God's righteous ways, precepts, and laws.

The election we just witnessed was a marriage between the sons and daughters of evil kings, and the sons and daughters of kings with a better heritage, who ought to know better than to mix with the evil kings, but who went and did it anyway.

How did they "mix" with the evil kings? By totally removing issues of morality and godliness from America's decision-making process. This election was every bit as much about bringing America to a playing field in the game of politics where morality was of little or no concern whatsoever. And look how well it has worked!!

Those who in the past would have firmly aligned themselves with godly values now have been absolved of the burden of doing so. The subject of economics is so close the the hearts of money-minded Americans, I don't know if it will ever again be a driving force in the direction our country takes. Will the label of "social conservative" again ever really matter?

And the appearance of all of this is PEACE. Why? Because a veneer of "good" (and it is truly GOOD, but it's only a covering, and not the full substance) has been sucessfully spread thick enough over the festering sore of evil immorality in our country, those who cannot see below the surface are declaring a victory of far greater proportions than what has truly happened.

Only one thing in our country is on the way to the process of getting fixed. It's how the government, and in turn, the people, manage money.

But the sins which have caused the destruction of civilizations in the past are still very much well and intact, and I daresay, even thriving. And they are even thriving through the voices of those we thought surely would stand for righteousness. Can you find even one journalist or commentator of Conservative or Traditional persuasion on Fox News who speaks out clearly without compromise against the perversion of homosexuality?

Where is our hope? It's in the fact that Jehosophat yet had another son who was not mixing with the wicked sons and daughters of Ahab. His name was Jehu. Obviously he had a nature of being known as a hothead because his "driving reputation" had even gone before him so that he was recognized on his chariot at a distance. He had such a reputation that when Elisha sent a prophet to anoint him king, he admonished him strongly just to do it, and then get away from him as quickly as possible. One can speculate that he wanted to protect his associate prophet of having the burden of explaining being connected to Jehu. He didn't even send the prophet, rather he sent the prophet's son. Some one recently coined the phrase 'hit and run' prophets. Well, here's a perfect example of one.

1And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:
2And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;
3Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not. 2 Kings 9:1-3

Watch and see how quickly those who would truly carry forward a righteous agenda in our land will be flung out from the company of those who ought to stand with them.

Christians and conservatives, and all with conservative values can rejoice that the election truly went in their favor. In this immediate matter, there is every reason to rejoice.

But what will become of those politicians who will return their hearts to the true matters of conscience and refuse to backdown to the spirit of Jezebel and her whoredoms defiling the land? What will happen in the next election should a Jehu arise, and point out the fact that we are still a very sin-sick nation. What will happen to the next prophet who trumpets forth a prophetic blast sparing not the hearers from a searing warning against the immorality, perversion, sin and uncleanness that has overtaken us?

The Bible never said mismanagement of money is the reproach of any people. Going in debt won't incur the wrath of God, or send a soul to hell. And just because those things are made a greater issue than the morality issues and Christian values, that doesn't mean God's eye is not still seeing the 800 pound gorilla in the room we call America. Just because an election has managed to change the subject doesn't mean God has changed the subject. God still cares far more about a clean heart than a comfortable bank account.

The liberals are not as miserable you may think over the outcome of the 2010 elections.

They have had a hidden strategic victory to lay their platform for the next major national election in 2012. They've very deliberately driven our country to the precipice of insanity so that they can put a hero in the driver's seat to drive it back, and the hero's name won't be Barack Obama.

Their hero will be a Jezebel who will keep the wickedness of legalized sin and legalized perversion as part of the warp and woof of America. Hmmmm, I wonder who that could be.
It doesn't take a prophet to figure this one out!!

Our only hope is a powerfully anointed, fearless Jehu company, riding furiously through the land:

WHAT PEACE, SO LONG AS THE WHOREDOMS OF THY MOTHER JEZEBEL AND HER WITCHCRAFTS ARE SO MANY?

Lord, give us ears to hear, and hearts to pray!!

Always in the Love of Jesus,
